Subject: RE: Outback and Sdrive

Pittsburg, Kansas

We sell them and use three eDrives ourselves on several different platforms. They work well. About the only customer I can recall being dissatisfied was running it on a 9000 series 4wd with quite a few hours and the steering cylinder end bushings were really worn bad.  The system did a little "S" ing because of it and no way to take it out (because of the slop in the steering cylinders). It was ok on tillage but unsuitable for the planting he wanted to do. He needed to fix the cylinders but ended up trading for a big MFWD to do the planting so it became a non issue.

Some things that help make them more accurate. On track tractors it helps to get the antenna out on the nose. On any tractor moving the antenna forward more helps. MFWD on the front of the cab is fine but on articulated 4wd it really helps them if you make a bracket so the antenna is located a foot or two in front of the cab. It works much better if you can get the antenna at least even with the front axle and a little ahead is better. On a 4wd the front of the cab is benind the front axle so the antenna does not register the correction very quickly so you can get some "s" ing. Tillage usually not a problem but something more accurate making an A-frame bracket to extend the antenna forward helps. We are planning on doing it on ours this winter.

I think you will like the system.
