Hoisington, KS | in black Simmental, black Gelbvieh, and I even saw an ad lately for black Hereford. Twenty years ago we had the yellowish-gold Gelbvieh and red Simmentals. I've always wondered how they got them black without using Black Angus somewhere along the way.
We have a purebred black Gelbvieh bull that we put with some black cows(Gelbvieh-Red Angus-Simmental X) and got some light brown-gold calves. | |
