Subject: RE: What about Hughes as a Satellite ISP

I have had similar experience as Tim has. I had Starband before the Direcway and their customer service sucked really bad. It seemed every few months I had to call them to reset my system for some reason. They claimed it was static build up in the cables causes things to become corrupt. But Direcway has been great not one problem and when I moved to the new farm no problems with getting things set up and the service guy was very friendly and helpful. I think Starband is the owner of Wild Blue but not sure. The other bad thing about Starband was it required downloaded software to your computer but the Direcway was "Plug and Play" and ready to go as soon as it was hooked up. The service guy made about a 2 minute phone call and I was on my way but for Starband it was at least 2 hours. I would have to consider it if broadband or DSL was available in my area but I am just outside of that area for either. Then I would only consider because of the equipment cost standpoint.

Good Luck
