Callao Missouri
We have used geo-textile with about 3" of 2' rock topped with 1/2" base rock( ranges from fines up to half inch) around waterers. along fence-line feed bunks, and recently for a limited access site to a structure (pond). All of our corrals have this and it makes them usable in all weather situations.

It has several advantages over concrete. It is somewhat cheaper. Livestock footing is much better than concrete. Much easier to put in place. And water does go thru it. Also a big adv. is that there is no dropoff mud hole at the edge (don't ask me why-perhaps because the water does go thru and does not drain off the edge),
