| In our area there have been a number of ag waste systems put in cost shared through NRCS and/or the EPA 319 programs administered through the State health Dept. The hi use area or feeding pads are mostly concrete @ 12' wide. These are ideal, when in winter you have a few days in the 40's, it is very easy to scrape and keep clean. Also more permanent. There has been talk of doing what you suggest using fly ash from the coal gasification plants, but I have no first hand knowledge on how they are liked, or how long they last. | |
