North Central MO | Ebay is a good source for laptop parts. Looks like several people there just part them out. Have had good luck so far and picked up an inverter for very small cost. Another thing to check is the wiring or ribbon cables that route through the hinge on a laptop, prone to failure after lots of cycles...
Be prepared to spend some time researching and make sure you know exactly what you need and I agree laptops are no fun to work on ... sometimes you can find parts manuals, parts breakdown info online. | |
