I have to agree with Matt, we are having great results with sulphur in the spring. If you have an elemental source that is cheap, you have to keep it on the surface in order for it to oxidize enough to be of benefit. Having some S there in the spring will improve the efficiency of your N. S is very mobile, so a few rains and it will move into the root zone along with the N.
There are some good liquid pop-ups that do contain small amounts of S on the market if that is the direction you want to go.
