Central IL | there is no negative impact on mosquito populations from Bt corn. Seems that's one pest we can scratch off the list of possibly being impacted. Even with little to no water here this year, we have had an abundance of the buggers. Maybe we should research the possibility they were imported by terrorists from a desert somewhere?
I personally feel better using trait corn than soil insecticide for both myself and the environment. I don't personally see GMO traits as a leaching threat the same as soil insecticide. | |
