| You'll have to compete with row croppers. I have several farms I cash rent, and I rotate them through crops and forage as prices and conditions dictate. Some of these are rented a little under the market, but they are a little on the rougher side. This year I think I am going to lose all the Timothy I seeded into wheat last fall. The dry weather has taken it's toll. That's a real bite in the pocketbook as I could have put Sorghum Sudan or peas or double crop beans on those acres. First year I've seen where it's too dry to get a fall cutting of Timothy. That's the breaks. | |
