Despite the salesman's guide, new isn't always better, is it?

It sounds like this is one of those rarest of all varieties, and that efforts to get the glyphosate tolerance into it have disturbed a specific combination of genes that make it yield so well, and respond so well to these treatments. I'm as confident as I can be that someone at Pioneer has tried (multiple times) to recover this yield potential in a RR cross--apparently without success, so far.
