It sounds like this is one of those rarest of all varieties, and that efforts to get the glyphosate tolerance into it have disturbed a specific combination of genes that make it yield so well, and respond so well to these treatments. I'm as confident as I can be that someone at Pioneer has tried (multiple times) to recover this yield potential in a RR cross--apparently without success, so far. | |
