we have soils here in westerniowa with +30% mag very common gypsum in magic on these kinds of soils I have seen soils that would not raise a crop have 100 bpa increases with gyp I also use calcium sulfate @400#'s ac gyp rate @ 3000#'s we do it at varible rate of grids
