I've developed management zones based on EC or Veris data. The old soil surveys in this area were done a soil technician driving over a landscape and poking a hole hear or there to determine soil type. The density of the data was very course. With a Veris data is collected every second it travels across the field. It give a person knowledge BEFORE you start poking soil tests. In this water short state the most yield limiting factor is stored soil moisture. The Veris help find areas that are of different soil moisture holding capacity. I can assign yield goals and apply inputs accordingly.
