Subject: Re: sorghum planting

Sorghum is widely grown in my part of south Texas. We average about 26" of rainfall annually. If I understood you are putting P, K & zinc + Lorsban insecticide down with the seed in the same furrow. Is this correct? What insect(s) are you after with the insecticide? Also are your rows at 1 meter apart? What kind of yields do you get on dryland (not irrigated)? When do you put your N down and what do you use?

It's great to have the Aussies here. I think we might have a lot in common, especially with Texas.
