Nevada, Iowa | Dave, I hope you didn't think I being critical. You know how I feel about your input. That outside wall will warm up no matter how cold it was last winter. There are two schools of thought on freezing grain and they obviously both work. I would just be careful/mindful of the moisture content when attempting it without a warm up and continued drying in the spring. Had a neighbor freeze some 18% corn one winter in a gov't. bin. It kept fine until around July and then went from good to crap overnight. Again, not being critical. I just happen to feel that "cold is good", "15% or less and cold is great." | |
