Subject: when to start shelling corn

Greenwood MO
Checking moisture today on field edges 20 to 22% depending on planting date. I will go to bin but I dont use heat for drying. We have 27 ft bins with big fans, spreaders and stirators, hold around 9000 bu.What is a safe moisture to start at, Im thinking around 18. Last 2 years we got the beans first and let the corn dry on the stalk but this corn is much better. Give me your thoughts please
