A Georgia consultant told me last night that 2 older bins in his area had literally burst from all the corn in them. The cause, he said, was likely rusty bolts in the bottom rings. I also heard about a wall section in a building being pushed out by grain at one location in the lower Delta. It was a metal building that was serving as temporary storage. The consultant said high test weights may have contributed to the bin ruptures in his area. Could that be a factor? I don't know that much about the physics of grain storage, to be honest. Owen
