In parts of the Midsouth, it's not uncommon to use a desiccant before soybean harvest, anyway, to speed leaf drop. I happened to talk to the guy who made that comment again the other day, and he said they're still trying to figure out what's behind that. He was wondering if it might be varietal, but with the intense heat in the Delta this year, all kinds of funny things are happening.
