Subject: I wouldn't

collect the insurance on the beans and leave them lay, there isn't enough tonnage there to pay the harvest cost. In Illinois I'd be mowing down cornstalks after harvest and rolling them up, will make excellent feed and supplement with a little distillers or gluten and that will make very happy and fat cows until spring. The beans would be fine, but cows don't need that good of feed, and they are a real pain to bale and keep the leaves and pods on, then with 12-18" tall beans, there just isn't going to be a lot there.
