Subject: soybeans for hay?

Oakdale, Il.

We are very short of hay here in southern Illinois and I was wondering about cutting our stubble beans for hay. The beans are only 12-18 inches tall and they probably won't yield more than 5 bu. for grain. Has anyone tried this before?
