Subject: Re: Expert advice on wintering cattle

Central Saskatchewan Canada
I don't know how cold "cold" is down there but up here it means COLD!! (-30 to - 40 F) I have seen cows and more so calves get sick from too much cold rain but hardly ever from cold and snow if they have a windbreak. Our cows up here get lots of feed and a windbreak out in the middle of a field and thats were they live for the winter.

Your cows will be fine. Don't feel bad for them, they are tougher than you think.
