| if you have a white fat, fed cow market there and LOTS of corn,,,other damage grain ,,,,,,feed them straight grain last 120 days and reap rewards of white fat cows grade and yield at a cow packer. no calfs allowed. take them off and bottle or sell them. Feed just like yearling steers,,,and they will pack feed away fast on full feed.
one guy I know gets paunch from packing plant hauled and dumped in his pit from packing plant. He packs just like silage,,,has hauling cost only in it. Feeds just like silage. one or two cows refuse to eat it,,,and they get a quick trip back to town. Makes for some darn cheap feed,,,closer to packing plant you are, cheaper it is. Packing plants almost beg people to take it as its cheaper for them.
