N IL | Had a conversation with a progressive cattle feeder today that said there are rubber mats to put on slats. He said he has done one pen and the cattle are playful, compared to the other pens.... Yes, I too wonder how they will last, stay in place, wear, and end up in the manure pump someday? But, just like dairy cows and horses, they have to be happier animals on rubber. Standing people are! Kind of wondering if we could put some in the cement lots behind the bunks... ice buildup would be of a concern, anybody else try it? | |
