I know a lot of you guys on here do freezer beef. I have 6 black baldies that I have raised for freezer beef this year for myself and others. Last year I sold them as live weight based on current market value but I grew tired of chasing one here and there scaling them before taking them to the different processors. We have about 6 lockers within 30 miles so I let the individual choose their preferred locker and deliver the animal there. This year I am planning on pricing them based on hanging weights. What is everyone else doing and charging/lb for freezer beef based on hanging weight? Thanks. |
