Did the semen sales co put a hiefer calfing rating on the bull?
In a relatively closed / known genetic / known calfing ease herd you may simply use one of your's and skip the ai stuff in the future.
This year's deal kinda sucks from a hiefer replacement stand because quite a few folks ai the hiefers then keep the hiefer calves out of those for replacements.
