Had a NewHolland self propelled mower conditioner when I was in highschool. Trouble with final drive chains just like 7720gas. One broke going down hill at road speed................................! I managed to hold it in the road for a few yards, but the "weaves" kept getting wilder until I finally lost it and it dove off into the ditch where it did a 180* or so before coming to a stop. Somehow in the time it was weaving in the road, we went across a 4' culvert and wound up in the road side ditch just on the other side!

I would consider a pull type if you come across a good one.
