Culbertson, MT | Studies in Montana have shown the opposite, cattle will come to the developed water over the pond. Of course, it would take some doing to find poorer water than in some places in MT! My situation is only 2 reliable ponds, 2 well systems and 2 systems on rural water. Dad and I always figured that anytime you can sell water for the price of calves, it would work out fine....! Also, fall weaning weights have increased on the 2 bunches on rural water system. I won't go so far as to say its statistically significant, but it has increased. | |
