Iowa | I'll get back to you on that just as soon as I get the township trustees stacked full of women from the Purple Hats Club. Don't hold your breath on this one.:)
I've replaced a few fences due to neighbors having cattle. Overall, it's a small group of cattle farmers with a wide range of attitudes. Some other fences on property lines have been removed at the neighbot's request. That is much more to my liking.
A few others with cattle in feedlots sometimes have a few cattle get out and run through my corn. It can happen to the best of them. We get together and round them up. The main concern has always been to keep the cattle off the busy roads and to not get anyone hurt. The neighbors have always offered to pay for crop damages. I've always declined. They'd likely do the same for me if the shoe was on th eother foot.
I like most of these folks and consider them to be good neighbors and citizens in the community. It's mostly the Iowa fence law I don't agree with.
