E.Central MN | I guess it may come as a shock to consumers when they learn that food doesn't "magically" appear on the shelves. When fuel costs increase it affects everyone that produces, transports, and stocks the food in the stores. If world demand(especially from China) has increased faster than supply, then why wouldn't prices increase as our exports reduced US supplies? If dairy prices could be sustained at higher levels it would be good for US agriculture in the long run. | |
