I'd stay with pump you are trying to use and I'd plum it to have a return to tank for agitation and be able to regulate the flow. A T with a ball valve will work. That is how they suggest to do mix 30 as it will separate and has solids. I'm sure one of the base products is corn syrup, but you get fat and added nitrogen from NPN. I get mine in mini-bulk containers and carry them out to tanks on pallet forks. It does not work good with ruts, but with the mud we get pulling a tank isn't any better. I would look into feeding poor quality hay. You may need NPN to feed the rumen bacteria and some added energy to utilize the hay. You may get enough from the rest of the pasture. If you are trying to add .5 lbs of protein per head per day they will need to consume 8.3lbs of corn syrup a day.
