Subject: RE: What type of pump for syrup injection into haybales?

Callao, Missouri
Last load was $35/ton, about 6% protien. Already set up to take semi loads and have lick tanks in the fields, but am thinking of a scenario to feed dry cows cheap hay (like $5/bale) on pasture that has bad spots that need fertility. Not interested in buying a grinder. I want to put 10 bales in rings and forget it for the week. Time to pump doesn't bother me too much, just need enough to get the cows to eat it and it takes 15min to get from farmsite to spot in pasture. I just don't know what type of pump would supply the pressure needed (and low volume) without damage from the larger particles. Use a regular banjo/honda water pump to transfer now.
