South central IL | I was using wet gluten . The DDG has high level of oil and I was already fitting low butter fat. My herd was running around 60lb tank with 3.4 butter fat and 3.2 protein . We were feeding 25 lbs wet gluten to help replace small hay crop. Got along real good. When I feed DDGS i had to hold back to about 8 lbs a day. I was lucky we could get gluten from Aventen in peoria,IL and ADM in decatur.
I really like milk so I hope some one can continue to milk. | |
