Eastern Iowa | Everyone around me is excited about the high prices they can get for their commodity grain but me.
I don't think I am going to run out of old crop before the new stuff is supposed to arrive, but it only takes a couple more weeks of wet weather here and two weeks of hot, dry weather in the summer at the wrong time and I can be right there with you--nothing but bad options. A crop insurance check won't feed all my animals. I probably should be selling a bit more of 2010 crop at these levels, but I can't bring myself to do it. Thank goodness the cattle and hog prices have gone along for a ride this time. | |
