northwest tennessee | I have high tensile 5 wire with the second from the bottom hot and the top. Young calves will go through it if it is hot. I turn the fence off at times so they wont get out. A young calf does not have a reverse. If they run up and hit the wire and get shocked they are going through but if it is off they will come out of it when they run into the wire. At about 7 to 10 days old they start to have some common sense. | |
