Frytown, Iowa
just got ours tilled today... grandpa came over with his little massey 35 and a pto drivin tiller on the 3 point. tilled all our rye under. the rest of the year we use a honda 4 stroke mini tiller. plenty of power and uses regular gas. about $100 cheaper than a mantis also. first year plant whatever you want because the next year and from then on the fun wears out and you will only want to plant vegetables like corn, green beans, tomatoes, onions, radishes, and potatoes. all the other fancy vegetables you will figure are unpractical.

look at a walker mower. my parents have one ( i have a dixie chopper which is great also) but the walker you have a dry box in the back you can put a tank in and set up your sprayer on your lawn mower. zero turn works great for spraying lawns.

i second the idea of renting or borrowing your big tiller the first couple years. use it once and get yourself a honda mini tiller to go in between the rows the rest of the year.
