SW Ohio | I don't know the rules on what can be called "angus" once it is minus the hide, but for what it is worth, one of my side jobs was hauling tubs of beef trimmings to a plant to be made into "angus burgers" and found its way to Burger King and McD's . The paperwork was very specific on lot numbers etc. , it originated in Greely Co, made its way to Cincy, I took it to northern Ohio, and brought it back to Cincy, finished product paperwork carried the "angus" label too, not CAB, just angus. I would guess that the plant in Greely and Grand Island (also on paperwork) went to great lengths to assure that ALL the trimmings in the tubs were from genetically pure Angus!!!! | |
