NC | I like alot of control on my dogs- I don't like rough work unless the cattle start it, and I want it to stop as soon as the cattle say UNCLE.
I need a dog that can gather and drive.
Work in pens or big pastures
That can take being told every move to make and still switch gears to working all on their own.
So Border Collies suit me best.
I think some of the Kelpies I have seen would make a good farm dog. they seem to be more laid back(than Border Collies) but still have the instincts to get some good work done, without some of the aggravations(over enthusiastic, high strung) of getting a Border Collie started for the first time. | |
