NE Kansas | Have had austrlian shepherds , border collies and english shepherds great dogs all of them however the easiest dog to work with was the English Shepherd. They like to work cattle but they aren't obessive about it. The english shepherd I have now is 2yrs old he works cattle when I need to but leaves them alone the rest of the time. He keeps cattle off me when I hand feed then he will guard a gate when I feed with a tractor . He will
go for head or heels which ever end needs to be stopped or moved. when we move cattle he goes after the stragglers and runaways so I'm pretty happy with him. He is a friendly dog but his size keeps most people in the car. Other english sheperd owners have said there dogs keep a watch
full eye on strangers but have not complained about them nipping | |
