Hud, I had some of the best biscuits I ever ate at a Cracker Barrel just south east of Indy near the new Honda plant, forget the exit.

Maybe those are not like the ones you are searching for but jokingly thought it would be worth working there awhile just to learn their process.

Soft, flaky, not hard, perfectly done and not overdone like so many are. I can't imagine them getting too hard.

I wondered if you tried j doc's recipe yet, that made good sense to me.

I think this was the flour, they must use the perfect combination of wheat for tender biscuits. Not flaky like the canned biscuits and those are pretty good in my opinion.
