They make concrete forms out of locking Styrofoam, pink.  Can't think of the name brand.  Concrete company in Nebr. build their office this way.  Makes for a quiet interior from exterior noise.  We did our basement with this Styrofoam blocks, but not the first floor.  Did not keep the basement any warmer and cost more than just poring the basement walls the usual way. 

Yes, concrete buildings are usually colder and damper here in Nebr.  They stay cool and sweat. 

They need to build such concrete houses in the southern US because of the hurricanes we get. 

Been to Jamaica and all their homes are concrete build and can stand the storms.
