First, thanks for all the replies. I think I would prefer earlage. The cob would be a great source of very digestable fiber that would really complement the pasture. I just don't have a snapper head for either of my choppers. (3940 deere and 890 NH). I do have a combine, grinder, and a blower. I like bags, I used to own a bagger that worked great for silage and bagging DDGS, but I wonder if I could feed it fast enough out of a bag. That was a challenge in corn silage whenever I was deep in grass season.
