It should keep fine as long as you start feeding it right after you fill it and keep at it until it's empty. Roll it or grind it when filling. Question is how much money is it gonna take to make silo useable again. A bag may be a better route especially if you are gonna want to wait to start feeding it. Have seen a stave silo filled with HMC and then plastic put on top then blow another foot on top to seal. But the problem with that was two guys had to get up there and shovel all the moldy stuff off plastic and take plastic off. Then that night both guys got really sick and ended going to the hospital because of all the mold they inhaled, they were alright but had to stay over night, that farm never did that again for that reason, they decided to unload out of both silos all year.
