will work, but a word of caution. Be sure the silo is capable of holding hmsc. Meaning does it have enough hoops to support the extra force of grain. silage will exert a lot less force on the walls vs grain. Most of the high moisture silos around here have extra hoops around the bottom for more support. I know of a guy that filled a 16x60 a couple of years ago with hmsc and the bottom gave out. Worked fine for silage years prior, but not for hmsc! Also, doors, relining, ect is not cheap. I would say if you have enough cattle to keep up with a silo bag, I think that may be the way to go. At least the first year and see how you like hmsc. If down the road you forgo hmsc, you wont be out anything with bags. Just my thoughts.
