Good Ol' East Texas | Yeah Waco is something else. At one time I have heard that they had a helicopter that flew up the river after each rain to search for any runoff from the dairies and take pictures and fine the dairies. I think that went away but not sure. Waco has always been fighting the dairies for a long time. Lake Fork once blamed all the dairies around the lake that the dairies runoff was killing all the fish but the same people that blamed the dairies found out the cause was a underwater plant that they planted and when the plant died it gave off a toxic chemical which killed the fish. Blamed the dairies for weeks in the papers but only a very small apology was written once in the newspaper. Now since hardly any dairies in that area the fish are not as big as they once was. | |
