Manitoba | Just make sure you weigh the small inclusion ingrediants with a small scale and dump it in rather than relying on the mixers scale for these smaller amounts. I do this with anything under 50 lbs or so just to be sure. Never had an issue with not mixing adequately. We set up an ingrediant called micro on the scale (programmable scale, digistar with tmr tracker) and a sheet in the feed room breaks down the weight that comes up on the scale telling the feeder what to feed. (eg. 70 lbs of micro on the scale equals 10 lbs salt, 20 lbs calcium carbonate, 20 lbs mineral, 20 lbs sodium bicarb) easier and safer IMO to go this route. Hope that makes sense. | |
