Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot
Hadn't thought about the bad storm coming through right when my hiefers all start calving Russ... That is something to think about, never had it happen but now you've given me something else to worry about! ;) Of course we are not a big outfit, only kept back a few heifers this year, 11 I think. If a guy had a lot the labor/bad weather issue would come into play more. Only barn we've got is the one God gave us, and it does get a little windy at times. ;) We've been bumping the calving up every year as the weather seems to be better this time of year-cold but dry. First calves born two nights ago, around 5-10* out but calm and dry. Good calving weather in my book. They hit the ground running in this weather.

We are using CIDR's and Lutyluse to sync for AI, but have sync'ed them when using bulls, vet claims it helps start the cycle--and barring that storm your talking about it's nice to have them all about the same time.
