ECIL | I'd ask what the inspection covered. Most likely it is all stuff I check anyway on a regular basis. Then I'd tell them "I'm aware of it, I just checked the vehicle over before bringing it in for service." One cure for the air filter check is to put a K&N sticker on the air filter cover. It tells the mechanic the owner takes care of the filter. Generally, women are more likely targets for the "needed maintenance" than men. One thing I have repeatedly told my daughter is when she is old enough to get her license not only will she need to pass the license exam but my exam also, which involves hands on vehicle maintenance such as changing oil, filters, tires, etc. | |
