Western Iowa | Give about 1/2 pound of Ex-lax per 100 pounds body wieght 5 days before the wiegh in and cut water about 3 days before......................then trim the hooves short and give them a haircut with the clippers........ then put them in the air conditioned barn like the real showman do, they will shiver off a few more pounds..............then if you really want to win, right before you take them to town, tube it and inject a bunch of helium in the critter.......and be sure not to trailer him to town, just tie the lead rope to the ball hitch and make the calf work off a little more on the way in to the wiegh in......
Of course with all these secrets, might want to start with one ready for market and work backwards!!
