I hope some of the comments are in jest. As others have said cut off the water before weigh ins. Depending on time of weigh ins i would cut water the night before. Also getting them broke before weigh ins is important - less stress for day(s) when gain counts.
Shrink is hardly cheating, unless it is misrepresented.
