I'm looking into the service issues - if I go with the robots it would be with Lely and they would be serviced from Manitoba, 7 hours away.  I would need to stock some parts, training might also come into play, one of my neighbors is going down this path also and we are collaborating on the potential service issues.

Spent some time talking to a US dealer this morning - it seems a stateside farm can get setup with two robots, (120 cows) total turnkey install for about $380k.  Canadian guesstimate quotes are 25% more. More of that 'whatever the market will bear' pricing I guess.
