SW Iowa, Clarinda
agree with Markwright. Last year, here in SW Iowa, my lots were 2ft deep of mud. Cows were loosing weight. I got soooo tired of trying to get to my bunks to feed without my boot/foot getting stuck in the mud. This summer I'm going to put up a 32 x 75' canapy just to put the bunks and hay under. That way the mud isn't so deep where they spend most of their time. I even had to get the disk out in the spring to smooth the lots out again.
It's not too economical but it sure makes feeding easier.
